Once a crisis passes or begins to ease up, it is very common to start feeling a cascade of all the emotions we had to hold back while we were dealing with the crisis. Now that we are a year into the pandemic, you may find yourself needing more tools for coping with current realities as well as the events of the past.
This breathwork class is an online group for learning some gentle, mindful breathing techniques and grounding exercises for supporting yourself with compassion. This is a trauma-informed class that avoids forceful breathing techniques. Invitation and consent are at the heart of all exercises. We will build our self-compassion skills; add tools for supporting ourselves when we are triggered, stressed, or activated; and build an inner sense of peace and refuge. I have found these tools and techniques to be very effective in my own recovery and many of my clients’ recovery as well.
Join me for 30 minutes each Tuesday beginning March 23 at 9:30am PDT / 12:30pm EDT. Sessions will be via Zoom and space is limited. Pay-what-you-can via Venmo @AshleyDavisGavila.
